WHO FOUNDED SENTIENT?
Hi, I'm Daniel Cohen. Not the ex-partner of comedian, actor and writer, Stephen Fry. Nor the ex-Director of BBC Television, I'm the PR and Marketing guy who has been referred to as an 'agency veteran', 'PR guru', 'charismatic champion of consumer PR' and much worse besides.
Over the course of 25 years I created multi-award-winning, global and domestic campaigns for a veritable ‘Who's Who” of brands. Clients have included the British Government, British Airways, Tanqueray Gin, Nestlé, McDonald’s, PayPal, Skype, The National Lottery, Hilton, Diageo and Pernod Ricard.
I was responsible for building three of the UK’s most successful consumer agencies in Harrison Cowley, Trimedia and Grayling. I also built Atomic across EMEA, a renowned integrated shop and the pioneer of analytics in PR. As SVP EMEA, Digital and Consumer at LEWIS, I was responsible for integrating and strengthening practices across eight markets.
My roles have included Global Strategic and Creative Director, Global Head of Brands, Managing Director EMEA and Executive Board Director. And I was humbled about being recently included in PR Week’s PowerBook which celebrates PR people who lead the way in their respective areas.
I work on every account, heading up strategy and creative.
Where a client requires execution, I have a legendary team of tried and tested experts who I call upon to create impact and make a meaningful difference.
"I founded Sentient to fill a gap in the market. Clients would tell me they didn't struggle with finding executional agencies. Their pain point was in finding people who could bring fresh and experienced perspectives to help solve marketing problems. They, along with other dear colleagues and family, encouraged me to set up Sentient. So, to them, I say thanks for the belief."
